Olive Crest Nevada hosts April Events for Child Abuse Prevention Month

Making the world a better place is important to Best Mattress, which is why they have partnered with Olive Crest, an organization committed to helping to break the cycle of child abuse. Since their inception in 1973, Olive Crest has helped more than 100,000 abused, neglected, and at-risk kids, teens, and young adults. In addition to offering emergency housing and financial support, Olive Crest also helps these kids to receive the mental health services, medical care, and education they need to live a happier, healthier life.

To help this incredible cause, Best Mattress furnishes apartments owned and maintained by Olive Crest, giving these kids a comfortable place to sleep each and every night. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Olive Crest will be hosting several events in Las Vegas to raise money for children and families throughout Nevada who have been affected by abuse. Here is a list of events and fundraisers that you can participate in, along with a special note from the Olive Crest team.

April 1 – ONE Summerlin

Downtown Summerlin shows support for Child Abuse Prevention Month and Olive Crest by turning the ONE Summerlin building BLUE on Saturday, April 1st at nightfall.

April 7th – Go BLUE Day!

Olive Crest in partnership with Prevent Child Abuse Nevada encourages everyone to do their part to raise awareness about preventing child abuse by wearing BLUE on Friday, April 7th.

April 8th (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) – Pinwheels for Prevention

Olive Crest is joining forces with Prevent Child Abuse Nevada and other organization to host its annual community resource fair focused on “Strengthening Families & Communities” Olive Crest will be on hand at Galleria at Sunset to provide information on its programs and services.

April 16th – 30th – Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Patrons of Southern Nevada-area Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations are invited to donate at the register while purchasing a beverage or snack.

April 22nd (1:00 p.m.) – The Ride Cares, Indoor Cycling Charity Ride

Support Olive Crest in Nevada by joining an exceptional charity bike ride event at The Ride, Premium Indoor Cycling. Riders participate in a class choreographed to high-energy music in a state-of-the-art cycle studio. Everyone is invited to participate; however, advanced reservations are required as there are a limited number of bikes ranging from $25 to $50. Register online: www.olivecrest.org/theride. April 29th (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) – Be the Change. . .An Evening of Hope Gala

Olive Crest in Nevada’s signature annual fundraiser, the Be the Change. . .An Evening of Hope Gala held at Crimson inside the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. It features: entertainment, drinks and hors d’oeuvres along with the highly anticipated silent and live auctions. Supporters bid on fabulous items while supporting Olive Crest at the same time.
