ORGANIC COTTON AND WATERPROOF LAYER DERIVED FROM CORN STARCH

The Avocado Organic Waterproof Mattress Protector is made with two layers of organic cotton. Sandwiched between these layers is an ultra-thin, breathable waterproofing layer made from polyurethane derived from Susterra® propanediol. This propanediol is sourced from natural corn starch and is a USDA-certified bio-based product. Unlike traditional petrochemical alternatives such as 1,4-butanediol (BDO), Susterra® propanediol is renewably sourced and generates up to 48% fewer greenhouse gas emissions from cradle-to-gate (raw material to factory gate). This means it is plant-based and petrochemical-free, utilizing sustainable and renewable resources. Our waterproof protectors are manufactured in Pakistan in a GOTS-certified factory, ensuring high social and environmental responsibility standards. Additionally, no fire retardants or antimicrobial treatments are used in our products. It is a GOTS-certified product.
