Power down an hour before bedtime.  Dim the lights and turn off all your devices smart phones, laptops, TV anything that stimulates your senses.  Bright light is one of the biggest triggers to our brains that it’s time to be awake and alert, so start sending the opposite signal early. Reading in bed is a great form of relaxation; opt for lighter reading before bed.
